Training and Testing

What to Expect
After you find out your state's CNA requirements it is time to choose a training program.  CNAtestCoach.com recommends that you choose a program that involves classroom and clinical training.  You will learn more, test better and have an easier time getting hired when you look for employment.  Clinical training is so important that most states now require it.

The certification test  covers all of the information learned in 8 weeks of training.   There will be a written portion and a skills portion.  The written portion will consist of multiple-choice questions and be given within a time limit.  The skills portion is where the test taker is observed by the instructor preforming 5 randomly chosen skills.  These are also timed.

Preparing for the CNA exam
The difficulty of the CNA exam depends on how well you are prepared.  A  student that prepares, studies and practices before the test will have the best chance of success! There is a direct link between how many hours a student studies there materials and practices their skills and passing rate.  Students are recommended to study 15-20 hours during the week before their exam.  Anything less and students fall into a lower passing rate.
